HIGHLANDERS SOCCER CLUB

ABOUT_
Bixby Highlanders Futbol Club was established in 1997 by Charlie Mitchell. Charlie is well known in the Tulsa area as one of the original Tulsa Roughneck soccer players when the team moved from Hawaii in 1978.

After playing in the NASL for 11 years and Coaching the Roughnecks for a year and a half, he took the coaching position at Northeastern State University in 1995. While there, he was instrumental in developing the woman’s program that continues today. It was during this time that he became involved in youth soccer and founded Bixby Highlanders Futbol Club.

Charlie is also known for the five Tulsa Restaurants in the early 80's bearing his name, as well as Winning Colors and Outback Sports Cafe. His latest restaurant, Charlie Mitchell's Modern Pub, just recently closed its doors in July of 2015.

In 2012, Charlie turned operating control of the club over to Randy Totty and the club took on the name of Highlanders Soccer Club, LLC but also operates under Highlanders Football Club (F.C.) Tulsa, Bixby Highlanders Football Club, Bixby Highlanders Futbol Club, and Highlanders BFC.
