*****2023 HIGHLANDERS CUP POSTPONED******
First, we would think everyone for the great support already shown for the 2023 Highlanders Cup and all the previous Highlanders Cups. We’ve always strived to put on a quality event that is beneficial to everyone involved. Our first priority has always been the health and safety of the players involved. This starts with the venue in which we compete and most importantly the playing surface. That is why we have always maintained and good relationship with Bixby Soccer Club and held this event at Keas Fields in Bixby. Unfortunately, we’ve been informed by Bixby Soccer Club that the City of Bixby hasdetermined that due to forecasted lower than normal temperatures for the month of February Keas Fields in Bixby will not reopen for play until at least Feb 27th, 2023. So with the consideration of the health and safety of all our participants the Highlanders Cup tournament committee has decided to postpone this year’s event. It was the tournament committee’s decisions not proceed without a suitable venue that reflects our commitment to player health and safety.
It is our expectation to continue the Highlanders Cup in the future. However for this year’s event, all applied teams will receive a full refund of any prepaid fees already collected and will be granted some discount to future Highlanders Cup events as determined by the Highlanders Cup Tournament Committeein the future.

Location: New location TBA
Format: U7 - U8 play 4v4; U9-U10 play 7v7; U11-U12 play 9v9, or U12 can opt for 11v11; U13-U19 play 11v11 (3 game guarantee) Note: Please indicate Gold or Silver preference as you register. However, we reserve the right to move teams to ensure brackets are as competitive and geographically balanced as possible. We will NOT handle special scheduling requests via email. Fees: $325 (U7/U8, 4v4) - $525 (U9/U10, 7v7) - $600 (U11/U12, 9v9) - $675 (U12, 11v11) - $675 (U13 & up, 11v11)
APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 5, 2023 (Applications after this date will automatically be placed on a waiting list)
Team Acceptance: Date TBA, typically 7-10 days before start of tournament. (There are NO refunds after team acceptances. Traveling teams are required to make arrangements at the link below.)
Awards: 1st & 2nd Place
Sanctioning: USSSA sanctioned tournament (Open to ALL US Club or US Youth registered teams and there is NO need for travel permission unless your state requires it.)
This tournament is unrestricted. Teams registered an in good standing with any US Soccer Federation affiliate are eligible to apply.

REFUND POLICY
If the tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather, government restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, acts of God or other acts beyond the tournament committee’s control and prior to the commencement of the event then participating teams may will be refunded 75% of their entry fee. Once the tournament begins, refunds will be based on current expenses and may result in no refund. Teams withdrawing from the tournament will forfeit their entire entry fee. The Tournament Director, Tournament Committee or hosting organization will not be responsible for any expense incurred by any team or person if the event is cancelled in whole or in part, nor will they be responsible for any liability for personal injury or property loss in connection with traveling to or participating in the tournament. Every team, player and spectator shall participate at their own risk.
